It’s the season of Hong Kong Sevens again, but as ever, many of us don’t have a ticket for the stadium. Screw you, HKRFU!
If you didn’t win in the public ballot, aren’t currently sleeping with any bankers and don’t want to get ripped off by resellers, this might be your next best bet.
From now until March 25, Yorkshire Pudding in Soho is giving away an undisclosed number of three-day Sevens tickets.
All you need is the ability to buy a pint of Carlsberg and a little bit of luck in their lottery, which you’ll be automatically entered into once achieving the former.
Yep, you’re basically hedging your bets another ballot, but we guess the beer will help calm the nerves…
Looking for a Plan B just in case? How smart you are!
Throughout the tournament, every Staunton’s Group’s restaurant will be showing all the matches and hosting a party atmosphere while decorated in the colours of their respective adopted teams.
Staunton’s Wine Bar + Café will be the home of Team Hong Kong, Yorkshire Pudding will be the home of Team England, Wales & Scotland, Scirocco will be the home of the All Blacks, and Portobello will be the home of the Wallabies.
If you support anyone else, you’re on your own. Sos about that.
Oh, and for those lucky enough to actually have a ticket, you can be even smugger when presenting the little fella to get a free pint at any of the above restaurants.
Tip: Remember to stay classy, Hong Kong. Yeah right!
