At approximately 4.50am today, Loving Heart Lutheran Kindergarten in Sha Tin was splashed with orange paint. Oriental Daily reports that the paint has contaminated an area of two metres by two metres in front of the kindergarten.
Splashing paint on the façade of an establishment is typically believed to be a “triad warning” for outstanding debt, although it’s normally red (damn, maybe all of the red paint was inside the kindergarten?). The report also states that there was a suspected “debt note” left at the scene.
However, kindergarten staff told Oriental Daily that they didn’t know why they had been attacked, and that the case has been referred to the police.
The paint was discovered by a 59-year-old security guard surnamed Wong, who notified the authorities immediately. The case is being investigated as criminal damage.
