A Facebook group claiming to be a support a student boycott at the Shatin Tsung Tsin Secondary School has claimed that a Form 6 student was attacked by a middle-aged man in Tai Wai while they were demonstrating in the street. The boy’s front tooth was broken and he required medical attention, they claimed.
“We strongly condemn violence, and no matter how much you hit us we will not stop our demonstrations. See you tonight at Tamar?” the post said, referring to the planned student march to CY Leung’s residence tonight at 9pm.
The post also asked Christian students to pray for the capture of the suspect, who has not yet been arrested. They said the incident has been reported to the police.
It ends by saying: “No matter how the rain falls, freedom will always flower. Peace, reason, nonviolence, we will keep fighting for our ideals.”
