There is still no sign of Yue Hoi-ching at the Tsueng Kwan O landfill.
The half-year-old baby girl was first claimed by her mother Ng Tin-yan to have been abducted but later confessed she had put Hoi-ching’s body in a violin case and in the garbage when she found her dead.
According to The Standard, officers have been searching the landfill for three days already and after a weekend break, the search resumed yesterday and continues today. The chief investigator says an area as large as a football pitch with more than 8,000 tonnes of garbage is to be searched.
