The survival of Chinese white dolphins in Hong Kong are in serious threat according to the Ocean Park Conservation Foundation.
The Foundation claims that organic pollutants and heavy metals in the Pearl River Delta are seriously affecting the long-term survival of Chinese white dolphins. They predict that the population of the dolphins could fall by 74 percent over the next 60 years if the dolphins continue to live in such environments.
To ensure Chinese white dolphins are still around for generations to come, the government definitely needs to so do something to protect the dolphins from going extinct!
