Robinson Road tree fall: Pregnant woman dead, baby in intensive care after emergency caesarean

A pregnant woman has died but her baby boy saved by caesarean section after she was crushed by a falling tree in Robinson Road, Mid Levels.

The woman was found unconscious and trapped under branches after a large section of the tree fell without warning near Palm Court at around 2.30pm today.

The 37-year-old was taken to Queen Mary Hospital, where she was pronounced dead and the emergency procedure performed.

The baby is still in a critical condition in intensive care, reports SCMP.
