Last night a robber broke into a luxury house at Regalia Bay in Stanley thinking he hit a goldmine when he found a large safe in the house.
The robber tried to escape with the safe, but by the time he got to the garden, he decided to try and open it instead. Police investigations show the robber had tried to pry open the safe but failed.
According to the Apple Daily, at around 11pm, the 57-year-old homeowner found his home ransacked and safe missing, and called the police who found the safe in the garden and concluded the robber had entered the home from the balcony door. Fortunately for the homeowner, the robber did not successfully steal anything.
