The restaurant’s famous steamed meat dish
How would you react if you found a cockroach stuffed in your steamed meat patty? We don’t know about you, but we’d definitely complain! And that’s exactly what one of the customers who recently dined at “People’s Voice Ice House”, a char chan teng, in Shau Kei Wan, did.
When she voiced her complaint, the waiter said rudely “So what do you guys want us to do about it?” Annoyed at the waiter’s attitude the customer complained to the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department.
The restaurant owner later explained a staff may have accidentally cooked leftover meat patties, unaware of the roaches inside. Um, eew!
