Public’s trust in media reaches all-time low

A survey conducted by the Chinese University of Hong Kong shows that local media’s credibility has sunk to a record-low!

The survey was conducted in late November and early December last year among 970 participants. Results show that the 30 print and electronic media organisations received an overall rating of 6.18 out of 10, the lowest credibility rate seen since 1997.

Among many media organisations, Radio Television Hong Kong (RTHK) was perceived to be the most credible electronic media, Asia Television Limited (ATV) was believed by pollsters to be the least credible. For print media, The South China Morning Post (SCMP) was ranked the most credible, with Sharp Daily the least credible.
