At around noon yesterday, a recycling truck overturned while driving along Ching Cheung Road, and crushed a nearby car.
The Sun reports that the recycling truck’s driver, a 51-year-old man, surnamed Leung, was reportedly driving along Ching Cheung Road towards Kwun Tong. As the truck approached Butterfly Valley Road, Leung lost control and the vehicle tipped over, landing on a white Toyota.
Thankfully, the Toyota’s driver, a 51-year-old man surnamed Wong, avoided the brunt of the damage, as the truck landed on the car’s left side.
The truck’s contents reportedly spilled over the road, with some items flying into the opposite lane. Wong was freed from the car by firefighters and admitted to the hospital for minor injuries to his hands and feet, while Leung was also hospitalised for injuries to his hand.
