Prankster sends fake invitations to Christmas party

A prankster invited dozens of residents at a Yuen Long housing estate to a non-existent Christmas party at a neighbour’s flat, a 33-year-old Mrs Lee, who lives with her husband and daughter.

A computer-printed invitation was slipped into residents’ mailboxes, inviting them to join a party at Mrs Lee’s flat at 9:00am. After overjoyed residents inquired about the Christmas party, Mrs Lee discovered that a prank was played on her and reported the incident to police.

Police suspect that the prankster wanted to embarrass the victim, but could find no motive for the prank.
