Poultry Problem: 1,000 chickens die mysteriously at Yuen Long farm

A farm in San Tin, Yuen Long witnessed the rapid death of 1,000 of their chickens over the course of two day starting from yesterday, August 8. They called the Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department (AFCD) on August 9, which immediately sent a vet to scope the situation. Samples that the AFCD took tested negative for avian influenza (phew!).

The AFCD is currently conducting an investigation and until they figure out what the hell caused 1,000 chickens to keel over almost simultaneously, chicken sales from the farm will be suspended.  The government contacted all other local poultry farms to check for any weird happenings, and the farms all confirmed that everything was normal.
