A policeman molested his six-year-old daughter during a shower and pointed a handgun at her head, a Hong Kong court has heard.
The daughter’s mother told the court that the 42-year-old father, who is a senior constable, touched the girl’s genitalia, fondled her chest and pinched her nipples while she was showering, Apple Daily reports.
The mother said she also witnessed the policeman bringing a handgun home, which he allegedly pointed at his daughter’s forehead while handcuffing her.
The child’s mother, who has since filed for divorce, admitted she has previously tried to take her own life due to her husband’s multiple affairs and alcoholism.
The defendant, who was not present in court, previously called his ex-wife’s allegations “absurd”.
His lawyer said his client’s ex-wife did not mention the incidents during divorce proceedings, nor did she object to the policeman visiting the child.
She responded by saying that she made the report after being prompted by investigators.
It has been ruled that two charges of molestation and one of common assault will be heard by the court.
