Police officers spotted buying groceries while in uniform at a Mong Kok street market

Hongkongers love to shop, but it seems even some of us were appalled to learn police officers dare do so in uniform.

Last night, one disgruntled onlooker took these photos of police officers allegedly perusing a Mong Kok street market for the perfect seafood to grill at their BBQ that night.

According to the witness, someone even sarcastically asked them if police officers were indeed allowed to go buy groceries while in uniform, but the question was ignored, reports Apple Daily.

Not to be put off, it seems the officers left the market with a bag of seafood each.

A police spokesperson said they will look into the incident, and if the officers are found to have violated the rules they will be punished.
