Police nab homeless man suspected of attacking 4 young women last Friday

After six days of searching, police have arrested a 41-year-old man in relation to the random attacks on four young women in Sham Shui Po last Friday.

The 41-year-old was apprehended this morning in Yau Ma Tei, and taken to the police station for further questioning, Oriental Daily reports.

The man, surnamed Tso, is reportedly homeless and unemployed. Tso apparently has numerous offences on his criminal record, including assault and resisting arrest.

Last Friday, four young women between the ages of 17 and 23 were attacked by a man they claimed not to know. The attacks were believed to be linked, as the four women’s descriptions of their attacker all matched each other’s, as well as CCTV footage obtained by the police.

Three out of the four women hospitalised, and one victim now requires surgery for her injuries.
