Police are on the hunt for three men following an attack in Tsim Sha Tsui that rang in one Hong Kong man’s New Year’s Day in distinctly unpleasant fashion.
According to Apple Daily, a 24-year-old man surnamed Yiu was taken to hospital with injuries to his head and eye following an altercation with three men on Kimberley Road — near Knutsford Terrace, home to a few bars, restaurants, and pubs — at 3am on Monday. Yiu was with his girlfriend at the time of the attack.
One of the attackers then kicked a car — a white Honda Civic Type R — that was parked on Kimberley Road, leaving a dent on the car’s tailgate.
Yiu was taken to the hospital, and police cordoned off the area surrounding the car, where there was a visible splash of blood on the sidewalk.
Police have classified the case as Assault Occasioning Actual Bodily Harm, and are looking for three men aged 20 to 25, hk01 reports. All three suspects were wearing blue jeans and trainers at the time of the attack.
