The police are investigating the alleged physical harm inflicted on an Indonesian helper by her Hong Kong employer when she was working in the city. Her employer, a family of four surnamed Lo, allegedly beat her with a wooden stick and poured boiling water on her.
The case is being classified as wounding and will be handled by the Kwun Tong district crime squad.
23-year-old Erwiana Sulistyaningsih is currently being treated in Sragen city, Cenral Java – doctors say she has cuts and permanent burn marks all over her body.
