If you watched the Hong Kong Police Force’s recently released, very dramatic promotional video and thought, “You know what this needs? More guns,” then boy, have we got something for you.

Not three days have passed since the original action-packed promo showed off the police force in all its boat-chasing, old lady-carrying, cat-rescuing glory, but already Hong Kong’s finest are back with a new video that makes the last one look tame by comparison.

Dedicated solely to the force’s Special Duty Unit, which handles counter-terrorism and other serious crimes, the video — as is often the way with sequels — ramps up the action at the expense of the plot. (Where’s the hero cop? The frightened cat? Where’s the heart?)

Imagine the last half hour of Zero Dark Thirty — if it were directed by Michael Bay and scored by Hans Zimmer — and you’ll have a pretty accurate approximation of the video’s tone.

Meanwhile, reactions on the police force’s Twitter feed were mixed. Some pointed out the apparent overkill of, for instance, fully camouflaged snipers in a city whose most pressing threat is wild pigs, while others pointed out that the video is “cool.”

“Wonderful,” wrote one user.

“Bullshit,” wrote another.

So yeah, pretty much like any sequel.
