Police dog dies after falling from roof of unit’s headquarters

A 22-month old Belgian shepherd, Cool, jumped over a metre high wall enclosing the third-floor roof of the unit’s headquarters and fell to the ground during a warm-up.

He was confirmed dead after being taken to a clinic in Tai Po. The Belgian shepherd is worth HK$50,000 and not yet in active service.

The police are reviewing yesterday’s incident. Much attention has been on the number of police dogs dying, Cool brings the total to three in the last three months, reports the SCMP.
