A person wearing a sexy nightgown was filmed climbing out of a window before landing safely on a busy street in Hong Kong after making a dangerous jump.

But it seemed to be all for naught because the person was soon arrested by the very people they had been trying to escape – the anti-vice squad.

Videos of the narrow near-escape have been going viral in Hong Kong.

In one video, the person can first be seen sitting on the canopy of the exterior of a building looking worried.

Another video shows them grabbing onto an air conditioning unit, which is about half a storey down, before jumping and landing smoothly on the top edge of a road sign.

The person then slowly makes their way down to the ground with the help of a few men on the street in Tsim Sha Tsui.

Crowds can be heard screaming in the videos as the person attempts some dangerous moves to get down to street level.

According to Sing Tao Daily, the person was identified by the police as a 30-year-old Thai man who entered Hong Kong with a passport, instead of a Hong Kong Identity Card.

It said that officers were conducting an anti-vice operation with the Immigration Department around 4pm at the building along Prat Avenue on Thursday and the person was believed to be trying to escape capture for prostitution.

The Thai national was later stopped by police and arrested for violating their conditions of stay.

The person was reportedly uninjured at the time but was still sent by ambulance to Queen Elizabeth Hospital for treatment.
