Pan-democrats hunger strike comes to an end

The pan-democrats hunger strike to fight for full democracy, which started Mar. 28, has come to and end after 16-days.

The strike started with 17 people, some participants were lawmakers, however, as days of starving themselves continued in Central, the group’s numbers dwindled as participants of the strike fell ill.

A party member expressed that the hunger strike was so that their demand for full democracy will be heard by Beijing officials.
