Now it’s not just getting into the South Stand that’s difficult – it’s securing a ticket to attend the Hong Kong Sevens as well!
The Hong Kong Rugby Football Union has announced that only 3,000 tickets will be available via a public ballot for next year’s Rugby Sevens event. The event has been reducing the number of available ticket through public ballot over the years – in 2011 5,000 tickets were available, in 2012 and 2013 4,000 tickets.
The Chairman of the HKRFU said that more tickets will be given to local rugby clubs and HKRFU stakeholders. The HKRFU will also introduce individual day ticket purchases next year, reports the SCMP. In the past, fans had to buy three-day package tickets, now they can opt for one-day tickets.
Fans can register for tickets at Cathay Pacific/HSBC Hong Kong Sevens website when the public ballot opens on Jan. 21, 2014.
