Outspoken owner of Hong Kong Television Network Ricky Wong claims that he will not continue to fight the battle if in six months HKTV does not get a free-to-air TV license.
Wong will quit the industry and focus on another business, as he has no intentions of buying TVB or ATV.
Wong’s comments come after receiving disappointing explanations from the government for HKTV’s license rejection. Read more about it here.
The Standard reports that Wong has a plan B and C, and will fight for a TV-license in the next six months, if he succeeds he will hire back the 300 employees he had to sack, if he fails, he will close-down HKTV and move on to something else.
