Oh no: 18-month toddler contracted H7N9

Princess Margaret Hospital

Another Hongkonger has contracted the deadly virus H7N9, this time an 18-month toddler.

Reports claim that the toddler contracted the virus during her visit to the mainland last month. She was sent to the hospital with a fever on Saturday but was discharged by the Queen Elizabeth Hospital shortly after being admitted.

Unfortunately, lab results showed that the toddler tested positive for bird flu on Tuesday evening and has been admitted to Princess Margaret Hospital for isolation.
