At 7:00am this morning, a traffic accident involving a private car caused the death of a 12-year-old boy.
The young boy was apparently crossing the road at Sai Sha Road in Ma On Shan with his older brother to catch a bus to school. A private car crashed, knocked, and dragged the boy along the road for about 30 meters before stopping.
The boy was in a coma when it was sent to Price of Wales hospital but was later confirmed dead.
Police will need to carry a full investigation to see if the car was speeding however, the accident spot is not a traffic black spot, reports Sing Tao Daily.
