Chinese Communist Party warns Hongkongers not to challenge social order

Uh-oh, seems like the Chinese are pissed with what happened on Boxing Day and New Year’s Day!

If you don’t know, on Boxing Day, several activists broke into the People’s Liberation Army barracks in Admiralty and on New Year’s Day thousands participated in a pro-democracy demonstration.

Well apparently, all this has upset the Chinese Communist Party so much they vented their discontent in their official newspaper – the Global Times – warning Hong Kong people not to challenge social order or the city will bear the consequences of political turmoil – not Beijing.

As the Global Times reports, “Breaking into barracks and launching “Occupy Central” protests will never help the opposition realize their ambitions. But it remains doubtful whether the opposition will quit challenging the rule of law and establish a healthy “opposition culture,” or they will continue on the road of no return, and sacrifice the benefits of Hong Kong society.”
