Now’s the time to fulfil your Hunger Games fantasy: Archery Tag hits Hong Kong

For some reason, archery has steadily been making a comeback into pop culture. Katniss and her squirrel-hunting/teenage-killing ways in Hunger Games, that Arrow show no one watches that presumably involves archery, and The Avengers’ Hawkeye and his handy arsenal of super-arrows that can do pretty much everything except reheat your pizza. And who can forget Legolas’ smooth bow-and-arrow moves, his platinum hair blowing in the wind?

So naturally, people’s fingers have been twitching to pull back a bowstring themselves. Enter Archery Tag ® (yes, ®), brought to Hong Kong by Crossfire Archery, which claims to be the city’s “first and hottest spot” for the so-called combat sport. (It’s fairly easy to be the “hottest” when you’re also the first and only.)

Archery Tag is everything you dreamed off: you get to fire arrows at people, dodge arrows people fire at you, and all minus the blood and pain because the arrows have soft padded ends instead of sharp points. (Obviously, you’re not allowed to bring your own equipment, because death.) There are supposedly rules and stuff, but who cares.
