A man was sent to hospital on Saturday evening after he was spotted running along the train tracks and through an MTR station in the New Territories completely naked.
According to Apple Daily, police received a call at about 8pm that evening that a foreign man was spotted on the train tracks at Lai King MTR station on the Tsuen Wan line.
Police notified the MTR, which immediately stopped trains running through the station, and sent staff members to try and catch the naked man.
Videos posted online show at least two MTR staff and one police officer on the tracks at Lai King station trying to catch the man, only for him to run away. Minutes later, he was spotted running along the tracks at Kwai Fong station as bemused commuters waiting on the station platform looked on.
About half an hour later, he was spotted getting off the tracks and onto the platform at Kwai Hing MTR station and running up the escalators. The newspaper reports that the man left a small trail of blood as he ran.
Police waiting outside Kwai Hing MTR station apprehended the naked man and arrested him for indecent exposure. He was then taken to Princess Margaret Hospital with minor injuries.
Train services on the Tsuen Wan line resumed to normal at around 8:25pm.
A police spokesperson confirmed to Coconuts HK that the suspect is a 28-year-old foreign man, and they have been unable to confirm whether or not he’s Hong Kong identity card holder.
