Netizens shame DJ Suzie Wong for calling Crown Hotel “cheap” over tea bags

Popular DJ and cook show host Suzie Wong complained about Crown Hotel on her Facebook page, which has a large following of fans, for charging her after asking for extra tea bags.

She posted a picture of her bill and wrote an angry post about Crown Hotel being “cheap” because the “stupid waiter” told her that “if you want two tea bags, we have to charge two cups of tea, because the manager said so.” She responded to the waiter “if you dare charge, then try it.” Crown Hotel charged Wong for six cups of English tea for HK$330, and in anger Wong posted the incident on her Facebook page and encouraged her fans to repost it. However, it backfired when scores of netizens disagreed with her and criticised her for “shaming Hong Kong people” with such a petty complaint.

To her credit, Wong later apologised for the incident on her Facebook page, winning back some approval from fans.
