Some stealthy video camera sleuthing has resulted in the arrest of a man suspected of going on a sleazy spree of sneaky touching in Central.
Police yesterday arrested a 22-year-old Nepali man for allegedly touching 10 women in the space of three minutes on a footbridge.
Video published by Apple Daily shows the man — wearing a long-sleeved striped green and black top, and carrying a red and black backpack — walking along the bridge that connects the IFC mall to the Star Ferry Pier, and quickly brushing his hand against the thighs and buttocks of several women walking along the bridge.
The man who recorded the video, known only as “Ah Lim”, told the newspaper that the incident happened on Sunday at around 7pm.

Apple Daily then reported the incident to the police yesterday morning, and officers were deployed to the Central ferry pier area.
There they found the suspect standing outside pier five at 12:45pm, wearing the same clothes as in the video.
Police arrested him on suspicion of loitering, and discovered that he allegedly attempted to touch three other women but failed to do so, according to the outlet.
Officers confirmed that the suspect is a Hong Kong ID card holder, who told police he is unemployed.
Police are still looking into the motive behind the alleged assaults, but added that an initial investigation revealed the suspect did not target specific women.
Police also confirmed that they have received no reports from any female victims over alleged sexual assaults or molestations on the Central footbridge, but have encouraged victims or witnesses to contact the investigation team by calling 3660 9550.
