As temperatures hit 33 degrees Celsius, the elderly have been suffering from extreme heat, with 99 elderly recorded to being sent to hospital for heat-related heart attacks and illnesses.

Yesterday, the Hong Kong Observatory issued a “very hot weather” warning, which is triggered when temperatures rise above 33 degrees Celsius. The warning was issued at 6:45am and cancelled at 7pm.
