The MTR had to close one of its station’s on the East Rail Line from Lo Wu to Hung Hom because it was too crowded after a signal error disrupted services.
An MTR spokesman told the SCMP that around 7:40am today, MTR services stopped for seven minutes but commuters were only informed of the errors an hour later. As passengers were not notified of the signal error, Fanling station became too overcrowded and had to be shut until 8am.
The same thing happened yesterday morning on the same railway line and MTR suspended services for 36 minutes.
MTR, What’s the matter with you!?
