The above YouTube video shows an MTR driver filing his fingernails, clipping his toenails, as well as watching a programme on a tablet while driving a moving train.
The first few minutes of the video shows the driver clipping his nails, scroll to about 2:30 to see him clipping his toenails on his right foot, and 7:00 shows him doing the same on his left foot.
According to the SCMP, Spokeswoman for the MTR is unaware of where the footage had come from or who filmed it but the driver in the video has been identified. She also said that there is a code of practice that drivers should follow.
This isn’t the first time MTR drivers have been caught slacking on duty. Earlier this year, many train drivers were caught playing and chatting on their mobile phones during service.
