MTR is in hot water again as it records 259 industrial accidents, four fatal, in the first 11 months of last year’s construction projects.
MTR Corporations construction projects consisted of five railways in 2013.
Steve Howarth, the railway’s Projects Safety Manager, explained to the Legislative Council’s Panel on Transport today that MTR Corporation is doing its best to ensure a safer environment for its workers such as improving air quality in tunnels.
Recently, MTR tunnel workers went on strike to force the company to do something about the air quality in the tunnels reports the RTHK.
