We begin our December edition of #HKdashcamwatch with this motorcyclist and the quick-thinking truck driver who thankfully did not run him over.
It was a normal Saturday afternoon for one motorcyclist in Sheung Wan near the ferry piers until it suddenly wasn’t. After the light turns green and traffic begins moving, you can see him bump a motorcycle in front of him, sending him toppling to the pavement a lane over, placing himself directly in the path of an oncoming truck.
The video was posted online by Yip Yeung, the driver of the truck, under the caption: “Avoided what could have been a serious accident.”
Netizens have praised the driver for his “fast reaction time,” with some saying “it’s a good thing you had video, otherwise it would have looked like you knocked him over.”
