A mother was arrested yesterday at around 4pm after passersby reported that she had slapped her son causing him to suffer a nosebleed.
The incident happened in a shopping mall in Ngau Tau Kok when the 34-year-old mother was frustrated with her son throwing a fit for not getting to buy candy.
Passersby told the Apple Daily that the mother insisted not to buy candy for the son and slapped him a few times across the face when he refused to listen. She then told him she was going to leave, so he followed suit, which was when she slapped him one more time across the face causing him to bleed near the escalators.
The police arrested the mother for child abuse.
