A mother and her four-year-old daughter are currently being isolated at the Princess Margaret Hospital as they have been in contact with a 31-year-old man in Shenzhen confirmed to have caught the H7N9 bird flu virus.
The mother developed a sore throat this week and the Centre of Health Protection claims the young girl hasn’t show any symptoms for the potentially fatal virus.
The RTHK reports the man with H7N9 from Shenzhen is in stable condition.
