Hongkongers should expect to see lots of couples tying the knot next month. The upcoming Valentine’s Day happens just once every 19 years, where Valentine’s Day falls on the Chinese Valentine’s Day, making it a Double Valentine.
According to the Hong Kong Federation of Restaurants and Related Trades’ chairman Chan Shou-ming, all 500 tables under the Federation’s restaurants were fully booked two years ago.
Double Valentine is a sought–after date with the same significance as “121212” on December 12, 2012 and “111111” on November 11, 2011, and business on February 14 is expected to be three times what it was last year.
Gentlemen, don’t miss this incredibly special date with your significant other!
