Minibus driver, passenger and cabbie get into roadside fight in Yau Ma Tei

Yesterday afternoon a red minibus driver and a taxi driver were arrested after getting into a fistfight on Waterloo Road in Yau Ma Tei, reports Apple Daily.

The minibus driver, a 58-year-old man surnamed Liu, was reportedly ticked off about a taxi driver, a 39-year-old man surnamed Ho, blocking the road while waiting for passengers in front of Kwong Wah Hospital.

The minibus and taxi drivers started to exchange blows, and one of the minibus passengers – a man who is actually the minibus driver’s ex-colleague – decided to step in and defend his friend.

The cabbie called the police, who arrived on the scene and separated the three.

The two drivers were arrested on suspicion of fighting in a public place.
