All-day breakfast at McDonald’s on New Year’s Day is a great idea, but not if you’re going to run out of food!
Customers were not happy when they arrived at McDonald’s only to find the featured all-day breakfast sold out.
A special New Year’s Day all-day breakfast meal was advertised to be sold exclusively on New Year’s Day – the meal at HK$23.5 came with a hash brown, scrambled eggs, jam, muffin and soya bean drink was said to be available for 24 hours. Yet, readers complained to Apple Daily about having to queue up for a good 30 minutes in the afternoon only to find that the breakfast meal was already sold out.
A McDonald’s spokesperson said there was an unforeseen overwhelming demand for the breakfast meal and apologised for the inconvenience it has caused all those affected.
