Man plunges from Wan Chai building onto windshield of 7-seater car

On the same day that a retired policeman was killed after a rock smashed through his car windshield, a young man plunged to his death in Wan Chai and landed on a seven seater car.

According to Ming Pao, the driver of the seven seater, a 43-year-old man surnamed Mak, was waiting at a traffic light at the junction of Lockhart Road and Marsh Road at approximately 5pm when a man crashed onto his windshield.

The 29-year-old had fallen or jumped from the 22nd floor of the iHome Centre at 365 Lockhart Road. Police are currently investigating the cause of death, and have identified his surname as Lee from a wallet found on the scene.

Mak and his passenger, his 49-year-old colleague surnamed Wong, both survived the incident, but were admitted to hospital for cuts to their hands and legs.
