Did you lose a thumb on the MTR today? No? Well, then, there’s at least one person in Hong Kong who had a worse commute than you this morning.
Apple Daily reported that around 9 am on Thursday, two male passengers got into a dispute over a collision on a crowded train at Mong Kok station. The fight turned physical as one man bit off the other commuter’s thumb.
Fortunately, police and emergency medical personnel found the thumb, and sent it with the man to the hospital for reattachment surgery.
Meanwhile, the other man sustained injuries to his face and eyes, and was also sent to the hospital.
To top it off, both were arrested for fighting in public.
