A 57-year-old man and a 12-year-old boy were arrested yesterday after the former punched the latter in Tai Po, reports Apple Daily.
The man’s daughter, 11, had accused the boy of inappropriately touching her on the school bus.
The father was waiting for the bus with his daughter yesterday at 8am when she pointed the boy out to him. His protective rage perhaps getting the best of him, he proceeded to clock the kid in the face.
An off-duty police officer witnessed the scene and restrained the man. Police arrived and arrested him for assault, and the boy for indecent assault.
Later the 12-year-old, who was not injured, was sent to hospital to make sure he was okay.
The man had apparently been frustrated at the school’s lack of action after he and his wife complained about the incident to teachers and administrators.
