An elderly Hong Kong man died today after taking an early morning swim with his wife in Clearwater Bay.
The incident occurred at around 8am, when the couple was taking their regular morning swim at Clearwater Bay Second Beach, HK01 reports. The man, surnamed Wong, reportedly began struggling to stay afloat. His wife called for help from other swimmers, who brought Wong back to shore.
Wong, 73, was rushed to the hospital in a coma and declared dead shortly afterwards.
