We haven’t seen the 1984 movie “Drunken Tai Chi”, but we’re pretty sure this comes straight out of its plot.
A 61-year-old retiree was arrested in Shek Kip Mei yesterday morning after attacking his 21-year-old son with a half-metre-long, double-edged tai chi sword, reports Apple Daily.
The man was suspected to have been inebriated at the time of the incident.
The two reportedly got into a dispute when the son complained that his father’s drunken antics woke him up in the middle of the night.
Although the martial artist did not unsheathe the sword, he still managed to have his son sent to hospital with minor injuries to his ear and finger.
The suspect, a former taxi driver, has three sons.
