An former prison officer previously jailed for threatening to force a 12-year-old to perform sexual acts has been convicted once again, this time on two counts of molestation of minors.
The 45-year-old man, surnamed Lam, was only released from jail less than a month ago when he approached a 14-year-old girl on Facebook, reports Ming Pao.
Under the pretence of hiring her as a part-time model, Lam organised an “interview” with the girl and her 13-year-old friend where he touched both their breasts.
Afterwards, the girls reported the case to social workers and the authorities were contacted.
A court report suggested that Lam is not a pedophile, and indicated that he had previously undergone psychotherapy in jail… although clearly not enough.
Lam refuted the girls’ claims, saying they called the police because they did not receive the full payment for modelling work fast enough.
The court sentenced Lam to four years in jail, as well as court-mandated counselling and psychotherapy.
