A man has been arrested for allegedly taking “upskirt” photos of a Ming Pao employee in the Chinese-language newspaper’s Chai Wan office.
Ming Pao confirmed last night that a sexual harassment complaint was received last week.
“Ming Pao editorial… won’t tolerate any sexual harassment and will fully cooperate with the police in its investigation,” the newspaper said on its website.
According to a police spokesman, the female employee complained on Sunday that the man took “underskirt photos” of her on his mobile phone without her knowledge, at an earlier date, the SCMP reports.
A 35-year-old man, surnamed Chow, was arrested in Kwun Tong on Tuesday for accessing a computer with criminal or dishonest intent.
He has been released on bail and asked to report back to police later next month.
The maximum penalty for the alleged crime is five years in jail.
