Man, 29, stabbed during seemingly random attack on stationary car

A man was stabbed in the stomach yesterday morning after a group of men attacked his stationary BMW on Hop Choi Street in Yuen Long, reports Ming Pao.

A 29-year-old, surnamed Chan, and his friend were chatting in the car at around 3am yesterday morning when suddenly four “non-Chinese men” (that narrows it down) launched an attack on the vehicle, smashing in the windshield and windows.

Before the assailants fled the scene, one of them reached into the car and stabbed Chan with a blade, cutting his stomach.

He was sent to the hospital in a conscious state after calling the police, and claims he has no idea what motivated the men to attack.

The case has been handed to the Yuen Long police district for further investigation.
