Mainlanders fearful of visiting HK because of discrimination

Mainland tourists lining-up for luxury goods in Hong Kong

A survey conducted by the Southern Weekly found that two-thirds of people interviewed in China have no plans to visit Hong Kong within the year, and one-third have interest in visiting.

The poll also found that about 46 percent respondents don’t want to visit Hong Kong because they don’t want to be discriminated against by locals, and 40 percent expressed that Hong Kong was too crowded, reports The Standard.

Those interested in planning a trip to Hong Kong had expressed their intention to visit because of Hongkonger’s civilised views, the free atmosphere, and buying luxury goods at bargain prices.
