Mainlander arrested after failing driving test and trying to give examiner HKD500

A 22-year-old man was arrested for bribery yesterday morning after trying to give the examiner HKD500 to pass his driving test. Smooth.

During his road test on Tin Kwong Road in Ho Man Tin, he reportedly hit a curb – failing automatically – and apparently being a quick thinker, he offered the examiner some sweet, sweet cash to turn a blind eye to his poor driving skills.

The examiner, outraged and insulted, refused the offer immediately reported the incident to his superiors upon returning to the motoring school, reports Ming Pao.

The police were called, and the young man was arrested on the suspicion of bribery.

It is believed that the man immigrated to Hong Kong when he was 10 years old.
